Painted Royal Couple Window Panel

A pair of old Indian window shutters in a red frame with a yellow zigzag border, painted with a royal couple seated beneath a tree, the lady in a green skirt and the man in a turban and pearls. Courtly couples are a favourite theme of Rajasthani miniature painting; the panel adds warmth to a bedroom, hallway or living room.
