Mother-of-Pearl Brass Duck

A carved wooden duck with a long arched neck, a brass beak and brass collar bands, its body finished in a crackled red and gold patina. Each side is dressed differently: one wing is inlaid with mother-of-pearl panels in a brass leaf lattice studded with domed brass nails, the other is clad in hammered brass sheet with an engraved border. It makes a fine accent on a console, shelf or sideboard, and can be turned to show either side.
