A shallow bowl carved from a single piece of white marble in the shape of an open flower, with softly ridged petals around a small centre. Marble carving has been practised for centuries in Rajasthan, home of the famous Makrana quarries; the bowl holds jewellery, keys or a floating candle on a dressing table, console or bathroom counter.
